IT'S ABOUT CONNECTION... In 1976, I purchased my first 35mm SLR. Now a generation exists that will never know the virtues of film as the art of photography has embraced digital technology. While I keep my 35mm SLR as a piece of nostalgia, my heart now belongs to the limitless possibilities of digital. While the tools have changed, the task remains the same. The artist/photographer bridges the present for the viewer to a memory, an experience, or simply one's fine sense of beauty. It's a relationship--a connection. I AM PORTRAITURE ~ a connection between: Through the play of light and shadow, photography makes a connection for the viewer. I Am Gallery connects the viewer and the subject of the photograph one-on-one. WE ARE PORTRAITURE~ a connection among: Connection, on the other hand, in We Are Galleryadds another dimension to the photograph. That connection is now not only between the viewer and the subjects, but also between the subjects themselves. Good portraiture reveals the inner strength of the relationship of those being photographed. RESTORATION AND RETOUCHING ~ a connection to the past: Memories find a connection to the past through the art of photography. Faded memories are revived in Once You Were Gallery.
